Le Leman Lake :
The Leman Lake or Geneva Lake is the largest lake of Europe. In form of crescent (or comma), the northern shore and the two ends are Swiss, the southern shore is French. The border passes in the middle of the lake. The Leman Lake is crossed from east to west by the Rhone.
Although located in mountain, the Leman Lake, by the water mass which it contains, creates around him a microclimate. In winter, the lake restores the heat put in reserve during the summer and softens the hard mountain winter. In summer, it refreshes all around.
Evian :
Evian is located in the north of the department of High Savoy, on southern shore of the Leman Lake, facing Switzerland (Lausanne). Evian profits from an exceptional environment between lake and mountains which gave him its fame of international tourist station.
Cradle of Natural Mineral Water known in the whole world, Evian knew to preserve and emphasize part of its architectural heritage and presents at its visitors the image of an accessible and dynamic city.
Thonon :
At the edge of the Leman Leman Lake and by the foot of the Alps, Thonon-les-Bains is an lively city of 30.000 inhabitants. Capital of Chablais, under prefecture of High Savoy, the city is famous for its commercial activity, its relaxed environment and its mineral water which feeds its thermal establishment.
Thonon is built on two levels. The low part, with its pleasure and fishing port, its walk along the lake and the old shore village, the high part concentrated on the center town with its malls, multiple trades, and its large weekly market.
Annecy :
Annecy opens on the lake in order to allow from this marvellous natural show. So much contrasts to be discovered between all these villages, these boroughs and this splendid city, with the diversified inheritance and international fame.
In the same way, the agglomeration of Annecy has an immense potential of receptions, lodgings and activities.
Geneva :
Geneva is located between the Alps and the Jura, at the south-western end of Switzerland and the Leman Lake. The Rhone and the Arve are the two principal rivers which cross it. The altitude of the Town of Geneva is 373 m.
Crossroads of the center of Western Europe, Geneva occupies a privileged geographical situation which puts it, by plane, at one hour from Milan or Paris, and less than two hours of London, Rome or Madrid.
Chamonix-Mont Blanc :
In the middle of the Alps and by the foot of the prestigious solid mass of the Mont Blanc, Chamonix-Mount Blanc is a commune of mountains located in the high valley of Arve.
Bordering the valley, one finds the solid mass of the Rouges needles, culminating with less than 3000 meters of altitude, and, on the other pouring, the solid mass of the Mont Blanc with the most top of Western Europe: 4810 meters.
